Caring for a loved one at home is a responsibility many people cherish.
We want to make sure they’re safe and well taken care of and that they know they’re still loved very much.
Some caregivers, however, work or need to take care of errands during the week. Many have no one to stay with their loved ones while they’re away during the day and worry about leaving them alone. Thankfully, Liberty Place Adult Day Services in Hazleton provides the help caregivers need.
The caring staff at Liberty Place is there to watch over your loved one while you’re at work or just taking a break. Our clients spend the day socializing and participating in activities that keep them both mentally and physically fit.
At Liberty Place Adult Day Services, we provide care, supervision and companionship five days a week for clients ages 60 and up as an alternative to placement in an assisted-living facility. Adult day services are perfect for those who need assistance during the day and want to spend time with other people before returning to their homes at the end of each day.
My sister and I worried about Mom being alone for hours at a time. My sister’s a nurse, and I also work, so a friend suggested adult day services at Liberty Place. At first, Mom didn’t want to go, but agreed to try it for a day or two. Well, she really did like it and started going two days a week. Later, she asked to go three days a week. Then, last year, Mom fell and broke her arm. She needed extra care, so she started coming to Liberty Place five days a week. She really likes it here. She likes the people. They monitor her habits. If she’s eating less or sluggish, they let me know. We’re very happy with Liberty Place. I’m grateful for the way the staff treats Mom and keeps a close eye on her. Most importantly, Mom likes it here with her friends. I’m very happy she comes to Liberty Place.
